Episode 92 – Cosmology

Speaking extemporaneously, Jordan goes off for four hours … solo.

You and I
Long to live like the wind upon the water
If we close our eyes, we’ll maybe realize
There’s more to life than what we have known
And I can’t believe I’ve spent so long
Living lies I knew were wrong inside
I’ve just begun to see the light

Corrections: Various corrections are probably in order. Most importantly, as concerns “The Father Invisible,” the idea is that he is not seen in this world, but his voice can be heard. He can be interacted with, of course via the Lord who makes the connection. (See 3 Nephi 11 for an example of the Father’s voice being heard in the world.) Praying to the Father is appropriate. Joseph’s first vision would have been otherworldly. He clearly saw the angels and the heavens … and does not really elaborate much.

In the first release, about 2 hours in Jordan, speaking of holidays, indicated that “Thanksgiving is a celebration of evil in a lot of ways.” He meant Halloween. This is corrected in the current audio version.

Only 1.5 hours in, but it might be the most important episode yet.

Finished. Absolutely the most important episode of the podcast. Any LDS who isn’t interested in the ideas here is…boring.

I made it through! Huge payoff if you will listen to the entire 4.5 hours. You can’t listen on 1.5 speed cause Jordan is passionate, energetic, talking pretty quickly — definitely not pedantic. I see myself going back through slowly, taking notes for probably weeks or months to come. There is so much packed into this podcast. Thank you for doing this one!

Through this 4 hour monologue you hint at continuation or termination of your ongoing expounding of these truths and ideas and literature and etymology of basically all things. DO NOT STOP. Onward brothren, forward not backward. Loss of our language historically outlined our human demise! Suggestion. Bring in other religions, atheist, educators, businessmen, etc as guests.

I’m way behind on this comment. I agree that there is good reason for any LDS (or non-LDS) person to listen to this episode, simply on the basis of truth seeking. I would say that what you are touching on here is so much nearer to the core of the truth of God and His creation, so much better an accounting of the true nature of the relationship between us and God, and so much clearer a description of some of the most crucial mechanisms for our salvation and return to the heavens, that your commentary could and should be labeled “essential.” In church, we had a class called “Gospel Essentials.” That should have been this. Perhaps that is why your message might not sit well for some. I know I might have struggled with some of it ten years ago.
