Are we delegating our personal responsibility to make hard decisions to people and institutions that the world deems our betters? Should we not struggle with God for confidence in making important personal decisions? If not is not our own personal development, as well as society’s, arrested?

And seeing the people in a state of such awful wickedness, and those Gadianton robbers filling the judgment-seats—having usurped the power and authority of the land; laying aside the commandments of God, and not in the least aright before him; doing no justice unto the children of men; Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the world, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills …

I think its pretty clear that Wilford was saying a prophet would be removed pretty quickly if teaching serious incorrect principles or doctrine. Brigham died pretty soon after spreading the Adam-God theory through some talks and a temple or two. That would qualify as being removed soon after leading us astray.
However, I agree with you both that Wilford’s statement isn’t doctrine.
Mark Cuban is a minority owner of the Mavs.
Tucker’s guest is not a Hitler apologist. That’s some conservatives using MSM tactics and misrepresenting what was said. There are some on the right who are attacking other conservatives are fed assets sowing discord before the election.
“We acknowledge that in exceptional circumstances ALL individual rights may be reasonably restricted, for a time to protect the safety of the general public.”
This wasn’t a leaked email. It’s was a public guide letter for leaders.

Another cultural thing going on here in Texas is the temple battle in Fairview (originally announced for McKinney).
What is the trust completely source?
Reincarnation and the Mormon version, multiple mortal probations (mmp) doctrine, espoused by wacko like Julie Rowe and Chad Daybell, spit in the face of the Plan of Salvation, and I hope that isn’t what was lightly hinted at towards the end of the episode.
I don’t think either of us said the individual rights email was leaked. I think I said the statement was linked in an email – which is why many people never saw it.
Hitler apologist might not be the right term. Maybe “Holocaust revisionist” is more accurate.
Nelson said the “trust completely” statement twice – once in a European Area devotional and again in California. The written summaries at official church sources leave that part out of his quote. You can see and hear him say it in CA here: https://youtu.be/zpUVDFkBmEA?si=D7fKlhECCVG0_HVJ&t=3784 (it should take you right to the timestamp, but if not, it’s at 1 hour 3 min.)
Thanks for the source. I’m finally building a “second Brain”
or mind map in the Obsidian app for all of my various browser bookmarks to keep everything in order, from my scripture notes to the way the church, and government, handled COVID, the UN and everything else.
I wonder if one reason the Church went so hard on COVID and for so long, well beyond other churches and governments, was to make sure Pres Nelson made it to 100.
Speaking of bookmarks and the episode bringing up Elder Bednar: I’ll never forget that he participated in the climate repentance at Mount Sinai for some UN climate conference. I don’t think he was present (I watched a feed and didn’t notice him) so he contributed through whatever nonsense they read/chanted.
Looks like the 100 plus club still meets with the governor…
