Good episode and commentary on the sports. I had wondered why so much effort has been going into ripping the minds of people from reality. Why are they trying to enforce this line from 1984? “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

I think the answer is this: Convincing people to believe absurdities is how you get them to commit atrocities. I think this is preparation for the continually escalating chaos in the streets that comes next.
