More people should adopt cash everyday. The gas pump is probably the least convenient place, but it’s a lifestyle choice. It forces you to walk 10 steps, exchange a few words with another human, and confers the benefit of depriving Chase Bank and the others of just a little bit more information about your whereabouts and current condition. It’s my way of reclaiming an inch. As Valarie explains in the documentary V for Vendetta “An inch. It’s small and it’s fragile and it’s the only thing in the world worth having. we must never lose it, or sell it, or give it away…”
