You would think that Oaks’s talk from a few years ago, where he literally just quoted scripture verses where Christ was speaking, would have scored rather high.

Greater access was used because you guys used it referring to someone else using it when referring to the Atonement, so it was a play on words, in effect. However, if Joseph is right, and we are required to do certain things like baptism and whatever other ordinances, then those things must be done, in order to enhance or give us an advantage (I don’t know what the right word would be) when we are judged.

I believe in progression between the kingdoms, however, whatever kingdom you are in, if you are not in the highest degree in the Celestial Kingdom, you do not have greater access to whatever rewards that are found there, in the highest the highests.
Just saying that our inheritance is life is overly simplistic. There are obviously differences between what you receive based on what you did in life.

I don’t know, Jordan, it sounds like you’re conflating repentance and certain things that we might be required to do ordinance wise. to sound like a baptist, a preacher, saying, just believe, say you repent, and you’re good to go.
Some of these requirements were told to Joseph by Christ, so, if you’re a believer in that restoration, then there you go. If you don’t then the discussion is near moot.

And you’re speaking about the baptism of fire and the second comforter — those are direct ordinance events from God. So, I guess if you want those in this life or in the the next to have life eternal, that’s something that you are needing to do. A requirement.
So, you yourself have just given evidence of required ordinances for advantages when being judged and given inheritance.

I went ro see the assman for the exam one has to take when reaching a certain age so he can look at my devil’s anus. The assman said everything looks fine. I’ll see him again in 5 years. Anyway, I hated drinking that fluid that cleans you up and makes you feel like you just can’t shut the valve off. But I love eating again and sitting on the throne minding my regular business. I just wanted to share a very personal experience to the mind virus crowd because I feel very loving right now. 🙂
