We were already pass the tipping point for a decade or more, so with Massie’s loss, we are at the tipping point where we will now feel it, bigly.

Trump solidified the uniparty in his first term and radicalized me against it. Now, he has further radicalized me, as have AIPAC and all of the pathetic shilling conservative influencers.

For Jordan: Nick Fuentes on Dave Smith’ Part of the Problem podcast. The first time I’ve listened to more than clips of Nick. I typically don’t listen to any podcasts anymore, but decided to check this one out today.

Trump saying it’s good that we have 500k Chinese foreign students and China buying American farmland otherwise the college system and farmers would collapse, PLUS admits this idea isn’t a conservative idea and that MAGA isn’tactuallyconservative:

The first hidden track on a CD that I encountered was “Endless, Nameless” on Nirvana’s Nevermind, following the last listed song (“Something in the Way”) and about 10 minutes of silence. This is known to be the first prominent example of a hidden track (but perhaps others were so well hidden and never discovered?!). It’s not a particularly good song, so you’re not missing much if you haven’t heard it.

The next hidden tracks I encountered were on a Nine Inch Nail’s Broken EP CD. There were 6 listed tracks, and unlisted bonus tracks 98 (“Physical”) and 99 (“Suck”). Easy to find after cycling past all the empty tracks in between.

Following these two CD releases from 1991 and 1992, many others decided to include hidden tracks. What became one of Cracker’s most popular hits, “Euro-Trash Girl,” was even a hidden track on their 1993 Kerosene Hat album.

Yes, CD’s were expensive in 1990. $12 was a common price, give or take a couple dollars. Not quite the mentioned $20 price, though you could find the hottest albums for up to $16.99 in a premium mall store. That’s today’s equivalent of $30-$40, which is what new vinyl LP’s are currently selling for, though you can buy CD’s for the same $12 1990-price. (Incidentally, you’ll find more records than CD’s stocked in many brick-and-motor stores these days.)

The 90’s introduced a “skimpflation” scheme to effectually raise the cost of CD’s. The number of low-cost CD singles was dramatically reduced, encouraging consumers to buy a full-price CD album that might include a band’s one good song, and a dozen fillers.

It sounds like Jordan never took advantage of the mail-order deals from BMG Music, Columbia House, or the like. The deals varied, but might be 6-12 CD’s for a penny or dollar (and an obligation to buy 1-3 more, at $14.99+ each, plus shipping and handling). That was the way to build a CD collection at for a reasonable price in the 90’s…if you were disciplined enough to punctually send back the monthly sample CD’s before being obligated to purchase them. Apparently, enough subscribers (plenty being kids) never paid their bills, forcing the mail-order CD companies into bankruptcy.

    Civilization peaked in the 90s.
AI content is insufferable. It’s just this pattern over and over again. “It’s not [this]; it’s [this].”

This is a good summary of the Massie situation. A foreign nation openly takes out a real person.
    https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/politics/its-time-to-talk-about-massie/

“Washington no longer belongs to the American people. It belongs to donors, lobbying groups, defense contractors, intelligence networks, and foreign policy interests that operate completely outside the will of ordinary citizens.”
I mean, it’s been like this for quite a while, but this election and the insistence of those in power pushing forward with data centers in spite of opposition from the citizens and their own propaganda about global warming and water shortages is making it quite obvious for even the passive observer to see it.

I remember at the effort that went in to sell the Iraq war. Now they don’t even try to sell anyone on anything. They just do it.

It has nothing to do with hopping IP addresses. I don’t do it that much, and never when commenting. It has to do with multiple links within one comment.

Jordan, you must finish your book. I enjoy thrillers, but more so like the Dan Brown puzzle thinker type, even though some of the conclusions in his books are ridiculous. I really love the journey regardless (generally) of the destination and conclusion.
I have about 5 or six different outlines for various book ideas, but I’m a perfectionist. So, that’s not how you’re supposed to be as an author, but if it’s not perfect, then I just kind of stall out on further more progress.

I beg to differ. There are plenty of songs with some good guitar in it in today’s music.

For the last couple weeks I’ve been on a nostalgic trip and I’ve been purchasing some old sports cards that I used to own in the 1999s and 2000: Grant Hill, Shaq, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Ken Griffey Jr, and so forth, even some Kobe rookies that I got slabbed up.
What were some of your guys’ favorite players from the 8ps-00s?

Moab has become such a hippie town. Just in the last few years, I remember going through there to do some overlanding trails about 5 years ago. And then went again the last couple years. And it’s totally changed even since that little time.

Going to the school and public libraries were fun events. We would go check out a huge stack of whatever you wanted. It was great.

Christopher Ruocchio’s Sun Eater series is probably the greatest science fantasy of all time, especially of the last decade. And I think the audiobook brings the experience up to next level, because the narrator is perfect for this first person point of view.

Tolkien was a linguist, so it was easy for him to create a made up language. I wouldn’t have a problem with someone creating a new language via AI, but of course not using it to brainstorm the whole premise and world building. But simple little things like language, name ideas or quickly checking for some historical info are things I wouldn’t have a problem with.
