        I saw the article from 2023, which is how I found his full name which allowed me to located his Instagram for myself.

        And the post from the first link is spot on. Whale are we pushing effeminate men (the woke and LGBT agenda isn’t in the church’s post, but it was clear who this guy is) to the men and youth of the church?

            He says the gist of comeuntochrist.org and their PR messaging is ‘if you just join us, everything will be great and you’ll love it. This church works for all types of people.’ That isn’t Christianity. That’s just a corporate bumper sticker. They have put out a people centered message instead of a mission centered message.
            We welcome people, but the problem is that the meat never comes. That’s why some of these LDS podcasts where they delve into deeper topics are so popular, where deep, meaningful things are actually talked about. We have the scriptures, but most of the stuff is just shallow, platitudinous weak sauce.
            We don’t have a real identity as a church anymore, so the brilliant idea from the church’s PR department is to highlight every member who doesn’t fit the typical mold. That will surely help us find us our identity as LDS.

            And then goes on to discuss the latest church spotlight post and culture war within the church.
            Good argument between the two around 59 minutes about lack of programs for men/youth, including a “why is it hard to say our leadership sucks (on this issue)?”
            Plus a bonus shot at Charlie Bird purchasing a child.

          Sorry to disappoint you, Publius. However, I’m not the acronym’s creator. I found it on a website for a group going for thoroughness, ridiculousness, or perhaps another objective.

          The most obvious and intentional omission for completeness in all of these LGBT*-acronyms is “heterosexual.” There are likely some who would demand inclusion of “looner” and “agalmatosexual.”

          Innumerable sexual orientations and kinks are not directly represented in the list… the limit goes beyond the sky, I’m afraid. That’s what the “+” sign is for.

    Bobby, I won’t fact check you on this one because I agree with you. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be done?

    Sherinian was the DC temple coordinator at the time that the gay choir singing at the DC temple one of the times they did, so almost certainly it was him that invited them.

    It’s oppressively humid and hot down here, so it’s not a nice summer day.

    The MLS, here in the States, for it’s first 4 years, had a different method to penalty kicks. The ball was placed further back and thrre was a short space for the kicker to dribble and whatever before taking the shot.

    Germany has always been my backup team, after the USA. They aren’t as good as they have been.

      The church does do mostly decent PR posts, but when they miss, they really miss (ie try to sneak the woke agenda through)

    July 2, 1776, our actual day of independence when the representatives of the Second Continental Congress voted to become free of Britain with the Lee Resolution.

    With Independence Day being this weekend (I feel caling it July 4th makes the day lose a lot of it’s meaning, like if we called Christmas Xmas or December 25th), what are some movies you watch or feel like are great movies about our independence? The easy choice is Independence Day, though it really doesn’t actually have anything to do with our historical independence. The Patriot is a fantastic movie to watch for the weekend. Anything that celebrates our awesomeness, freedoms, and accomplishments.
